Whether you run a business from home or plan to work part time, time management is critical. Just keep in mind that when you waste your time, you lose profit or rob yourself productivity so block out your schedule. When you are working, make yourself unavailable to the rest of the world.

It is overwhelming

Owning a business is wonderful and rewarding but absolutely thrilling and terrifying. It is always heartbreaking to hear bad news or negative feedback. You will definitely feel down at times.

Many nights will come that you will spend lying in bed over-thinking about the things that you need to accomplish. Although not healthy, it is definitely normal. You have to power through it! You cannot please everybody

Take a break

Taking a break is necessary but when you are the boss, there is no one to make it up if you decided to slack. Embracing boundaries are one of the secrets to success. Take it fully. Health is still a priority and you do not want to push yourself too hard. This might result to stress.     


Working from home is convenient. You can spend the day on your jammies and in bed. This is when professionalism is needed. If you want to stay motivated, even when you are in charge.

You need to put yourself into work mode. When you respect yourself, dress and behave professionally even you are at home.

You do not have to know everything

You do not have to know everything and all the answers. Owning a business is also an opportunity to learn something new every day.

People will rely on you and always expect that you know that answers. You are going to need help mentors and experts. In this way, you will learn and discover more ways to help your business grow.

Whether you are a business owner or just starting, always aim big and look at the bigger picture. At the end of the day, that fulfillment makes it all worth it.
